Njori began not just as a brand, but as a long-held dream.
I’m Nidhi, the founder of Njori. Born and raised in the scenic town of Adimali, Idukki. I grew up with a deep fascination for fabrics and fashion. From a very young age, I dreamt of becoming a fashion designer — or even a fabric engineer — someone who could understand the soul of a fabric and transform it into something truly personal.
Though life led me into engineering, my passion for textiles never faded. I was that girl who would spot a unique design, hunt for matching fabric from anywhere, sketch out patterns, and rush to the tailor to bring it to life. I loved wearing outfits no one else had — not to stand out, but to feel more like myself.
Fashion wasn’t just a hobby — it was a part of who I was. Friends and family often turned to me for help choosing the right look for weddings, celebrations, and special occasions. It was during one of those conversations that my husband — who has known me since our school days — said, “Why don’t we start something of our own?”
That very night, Njori was born — our online saree and salwar store. Rooted in passion and built with love, every piece we curate carries a bit of our story. At Njori, we believe that what you wear should feel like you — not mass produced, but hand-selected with care and emotion.
After a year of connecting with amazing women online, we proudly opened our first physical store in Kakkanad. Today, Njori stands as a celebration of individuality, tradition, and the timeless beauty of Indian textiles — crafted for those who don’t just wear fashion, but feel it.
